1. Information collection and use

Peptide Learning Hub (hereafter “Peptide Learning Hub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates thepeptidelearninghub.com and is the sole owner of the information collected on this website. We collect personal information that you provide to us directly when you create a VIP Portal account, sign up for the digest, use the contact form, or email us.

We use this information to run your member account, to send the emails you ask for, to answer your questions and correction reports, and to keep the site secure. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we share it only as described in this policy.

2. Member accounts and the VIP Portal

The VIP Portal is free to join. When you create a member account, we collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • A password, which is stored in encrypted form and is never visible to us
  • The date you joined and when you last signed in
  • Any profile details, posts or comments you add in the member community

Community posts can be seen by other members, so please do not share health details or other sensitive personal information in them. The VIP Portal does not charge a fee and we do not collect payment details. If paid membership is ever introduced, this policy will be updated before any payment information is collected.

3. The digest and email updates

If you sign up for the digest, we collect your email address and the date you joined. The digest is sent twice a month and covers:

  • New articles, study summaries and videos
  • Corrections to pieces we have already published
  • Material updates to this privacy policy

Every digest email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can leave with one click. We never sell or share your email address.

Note: unsubscribing from the digest does not stop essential account emails, such as sign in and password reset messages.

4. Contact form and correction reports

When you use our contact form, we collect:

  • Your first name and email address
  • Your phone number, if you choose to give it
  • Your message, including any links or citations you send us

We use this information only to reply to you and, where you report an error, to check the piece and correct it. We do not add you to the digest unless you sign up for it yourself.

5. Cookies, analytics and embedded content

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. They fall into two groups:

  • Necessary cookies. These keep you signed in to the VIP Portal, protect our forms from spam and keep the site secure. They cannot be switched off, because the member area does not work without them.
  • Analytics cookies. These help us understand which articles and videos are useful so we can improve the library. They are optional and are only set if you allow them in the cookie notice shown on your first visit.

Some videos are embedded from third-party video platforms. When you play one, that platform may set its own cookies and receive your IP address, under its own privacy policy. You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing cookies in your browser, which brings the cookie notice back on your next visit.

6. Your rights and choices

You can unsubscribe from the digest at any time by using the link in any digest email, or by contacting us. You may also contact us to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Request deletion of your member account and the information linked to it
  • Raise a concern about how your information is handled

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, contact us using the email address linked to your account so we can verify it is you.

7. Security measures

We protect the information you submit both online and offline:

  • Online protection. Information is encrypted in transit using TLS, including when you sign in and when you send a form. You can confirm this by checking that the address bar shows a padlock and the URL begins with “https”.
  • Passwords. Member passwords are stored in encrypted form. We cannot read them and we will never ask you for yours.
  • Restricted access. Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it to run the site, answer messages or meet legal obligations.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you where the law requires it.

8. Service providers

We use trusted service providers to run the site. These include our website hosting, email delivery for the digest and account messages, video hosting, spam protection for our forms and, where you allow it, analytics. Each receives only the information it needs to perform its service.

These providers are not permitted to use your personal information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to a lawful request from a public authority, or to protect our rights, our members and the site.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. Member account information is kept while your account is open and deleted within a reasonable period after you close it. Your digest subscription is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Contact form messages are kept for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of any correction made.

10. Age restriction

This website and the VIP Portal are intended only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Policy updates

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our services, or how we process information. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Where a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, for example in the digest or with a notice on the website.
